Duration:

2 to 3 hours

Certificate: On successful completion, candidates are issued with a manual handling certificate - valid for 3 years.

In-house training only.

The Patient Moving and Handling course includes a full Manual Handling course, followed by plenty of practice of the patient handling elements such as:

Use of hoists
Slings
Slide sheets
Wheelchairs

Duration:

1 day.

Certificate:

On successful completion of assessment, candidates are issued with a certificate which is valid for 3 years, after which a one day refresher course is required. Please note that some regulatory bodies may require more frequent refresher training.
